What is the temperature like?

The average temperature in Los Olivos in May for a typical day ranges from a high of 71°F (22°C) to a low of 52°F (11°C). Some would describe the temperature to be mildly cool. The general area may also feel breezy. Pack light layers and a warmer jacket for when the sun goes down.

Where should I stay?

We recommend reserving accommodations at The Hotel Corque or Auberge for Friday & Saturday, primarily for the convenience of getting to and from the wedding events, as these are shuttle pickup and drop off locations. The other hotels in our wedding block are fully committed at this time. Airbnb is another suitable option but it’s important to select a location easily accessible by car as scheduling transportation can be tricky (Uber/Lyft are unreliable) - plan accordingly.

How do I get around?

The best way to get around Los Olivos and the neighboring towns is by rental car. If you are staying in Santa Ynez, Solvang or Los Olivos, shops and restaurants in the town are accessible by foot. Please note, you will need to get on a scheduled shuttle in order to get to the welcome party Friday and wedding Saturday. Uber and Lyft are unreliable. If you are staying at an Airbnb you will need to drive to a pick up and drop off location. Current shuttle pickup and drop off locations are at The Hotel Corque in Solvang (large hotel parking lot), and the The Auberge and Fess Parker Wine Country Inn, both in Los Olivos (street parking in the town).

You’re welcome to bring the entire family to California, but please be sure to arrange childcare throughout the weekend as the hosted events will be adults only — unless specified by bride or groom.
