Getting there
Our venue, Foxen Canyon Ranch, is located in Los Olivos, California, in the beautiful Santa Barbara wine country (about 35 miles north of Santa Barbara). Here, the beauty of California's Central Coast is on full display. The area is regarded as one of the premier wine regions in the United States and is home to more than 200 wineries and tasting rooms.
Airport
The easiest way to get to Los Olivos is to fly into the Santa Barbara Airport (SBA). From there, it's a quick 45 minute drive. From Dallas, you can fly direct into SBA on American or Southwest Airlines. From New York or Washington, DC., you can either fly into Los Angeles (LAX) and make the 3-hour scenic road trip up California State Route 1, or connect in one of the 12 cities that fly direct into Santa Barbara (notable: ATL, DFW, DEN, SLC, PHX, LAS)
Rental Cars
The easiest way to get around the Santa Ynez Valley is by car, especially to visit the many different wineries in the area. Avis, Hertz, Enterprise, and Budget are all available at the SBA Airport. Ubers are available, but limited. As with your lodging, we'd encourage you to book a rental car early, especially if you plan to fly direct into SBA. Carpooling is a great idea too!
Shuttle
For transportation to and from all scheduled wedding events, we have arranged shuttle service. It will not be possible to park at the venue sites, so please plan to use the arranged shuttles. We promise the shuttles will be convenient, fun, and well provisioned. If you plan to stay at a hotel that is not a designated waypoint on the shuttle schedule, you will need to arrive at the waypoint to board the shuttle.

Hotels
The town of Los Olivos - and the surrounding towns of Ballard, Santa Ynez, and Solvang - are tiny towns and unincorporated communities dotting the rolling hills landscape of the Santa Ynez Valley. Lodging options are limited to a handful of small resorts and boutique hotels. If you haven’t secured your accommodations yet, we’d encourage you to book now since inventory is limited and May is a peak season to visit the Valley. We also know that there are two other weddings happening in the Valley on the same weekend as ours.
LOS OLIVOS | Inn at Mattie’s Tavern, Auberge Resort Collection
A 62-key, full service luxury resort located in the heart of Los Olivos. It is a 10-min drive to the wedding venue and a designated shuttle waypoint. Book directly with the hotel. $$$$
SOLVANG | Hotel Corque
Hotel Corque is located approximately 12 minutes south of Los Olivos in the town of Solvang, a Danish-themed village known for its thatched roofs (faux), half-timbered facades, and Scandinavian-themed tchotchkes. When booking here, book by telephone and ask for the Belchere-Jensen room block. This hotel is a designated shuttle pick-up waypoint. $$
LOS OLIVOS | Fess Parker Wine Country Inn
A 5-min walk from The Inn at Mattie’s Tavern is the Fess Parker Wine Country Inn, a 19-room, full service hotel located on Grand Street Los Olivos town center. It is a designated shuttle waypoint. $$$

SOLVANG | The Hadsten Solvang, a Tapestry Collection
Located in Solvang, the recently-renovated The Hadsten is a no-frills, 71-room upper midscale hotel operated by Hilton. Guest enter the rooms through exterior, open-air corridors (which some guests believe give the property a motel feel). It is a 10 minute walk from the Hotel Corque, a designated shuttle waypoint. Book directly with the hotel. $$
SANTA YNEZ | For Friends Inn and Cottage
A family-owned B&B has rooms and suites in the main building, as well as a "village” of six studio-layout bungalows with private porches and parking. Rooms and suites have a king bed, a balcony or outside seating area, and a fireplace or stove; three rooms also have spa tubs.
Airbnb
Book a cozy cottage or palatial home in Los Olivos, Santa Ynez, or Solvang. Please note: For shuttle service to the venue locations, you will need to arrive at a designated shuttle waypoint to board and disembark from the shuttle. Shuttles will not stop at specific Airbnbs. Happy hunting! $$-$$$$
